How to Start / Stop Services through Command Prompt??

In Windows, if you want to stop or start any service through command prompt / script / batch file then following command can be used
Note: If there is any space in service name then please use double quotes e.g. if service name is computer browser then please use “computer browser”
start stop services from command prompt

Using net command:

1. To Stop the service use “net stop”:

Usage:

net stop
e.g. net stop "computer browser"

2. To Start the service use “net start”:

Usage:

net start
e.g. net start "computer browser"

3. To Restart the service first use “net stop” and then use “net start”:

Usage:

net stop
net start
e.g.
net stop "computer browser"
net start "computer browser"
